Ride in the Lake District

Day One

Arrive and settle into your accommodation, a magnificent 17th century Lakeland farmhouse situated adjacent to the riding stables, providing the perfect holiday setting. You horse will stay in one of the stables on the yard which is full of character. There is a cobbled court yard, Victorian stalls and a gin house.  If you like architecturally beautiful properties then this is for you!  If time permits you can start riding this afternoon. Tonight you can either visit one of the local villages for dinner (just a few miles drive away) or you may choose to enjoy dinner in the farmhouse (booked on-site).

Day Two

This morning the choice is yours, we can offer lessons for those who want to work on certain disciplines, or you can make the most of the fantastic hacking and head out over the 2500 acres of private estate land offering excellent views of South Lakeland and Morecambe Bay. You can also ride or box to the beach - there is nothing quite like experiencing the Lake District from horse back!

Day Three

Today you can choose how long you would like to ride for again. There is plenty to do for non-riders including fishing, cycling and walking. The English Lake District has long been a popular destination in Britain for those wanting to enjoy some rest and relaxation. For non riders you can enjoy the spectacular scenery from a bicycle or for walkers trekking in the hills is an experience you won't forget!

Accommodation

You will be staying at The Manor with parts of the building dating back to 1485. In 1852 it was remodelled and turned into a farm. There are 5 guest rooms all recently decorated with 2 private bathrooms for guests. You can choose to take meals at the farm or drive out to one of the many local pubs.

Hay and haylage can be purchased on site or you can bring your own
